Project Literacy at Umpqua Valley disAbilities Network (UVdN) is dedicated to helping adults overcome educational barriers and achieve their personal and professional goals. In partnership with Project Literacy, we provide free, tailored tutoring services that lead to meaningful improvements, such as earning a GED, accessing better job opportunities, and enhancing everyday independence. Our program empowers participants to build skills that improve their health, confidence, and ability to navigate daily life.
Our personalized tutoring services focus on reading, writing, math, GED preparation, and ESL, tailored to each individual's needs.
We utilize various materials like Reading Horizons, Challenger, and GED prep books, along with a computer lab for practical skills such as typing and resume writing.
Students receive tutoring one-on-one or in small groups, in a private and supportive setting.
